After treatment
The paper strips were removed for treatment, noting original locations, then washed, de-acidified, repaired and sized where necessary. The strips were re-wrapped around the frame, secured with string, using both original and toned replacement string. All loose hanging sections wrapped to minimize manual damage.
The metal frame was conserved by Nicola Dunn (AHT).
