After treatment: facade

The model was surface cleaned and the leaning wooden dormers of the primary structure were straightened under humidification. The original window ‘glass’ was identified as edible leaf gelatine and replaced with tinted melinex. Missing areas and pieces throughout the model, such as paper on the roof and wooden pinnacles, were reconstructed with like materials. Old damaging repairs with casein adhesive were removed.
